To cope with the difficulty of there day to day life, Hoboes developed a secret code of symbols. They would draw the symbols on walls using chalk or coal to provide directions, information, and warnings to others. Some signs included “turn right here”, “dangerous dog”, “food available here”, and so on. The closest modern equivalent to this now extinct practice is warchalking, the drawing of symbols in public places to advertise the location and accessibility of a WiFi network.
Building on these ideas and the work of The F.A.T. Lab we have created our own set of QR code stencils for Agent and public use. Covernomics specific, the QR stencils are designed to act as a covert signposting and information sharing mechanism, ideally suited to urban environments, they are able to provide useful information and guidance to our Agents, Urban Survivalists and Hoboes alike.
